For the opening of Stockroom’s highly-awaited new children’s library, we were invited to design and build an indoor, interactive play area. Designed for 0-8 year olds, we designed a structure inspired by the traditional kids tree house. Encouraging imaginative and endless play with sensory interaction. The elevated hexagonal pods create a crawl space underneath featuring sensory lights, fabric yarn bombs and natural wood touch panels. Inside the structure is an insect magnification interactive, a garden bird watching game, distorted mirrors and a rotating pole which spins a large peregrine falcon above the structure.
